Chestnut is one of our Reception Classes at Mayflower, and is for children who will be 4 in the September of any academic year. We follow a child-initiated approach, building on achievements in the Orchard, and where children show high-levels of engagement in a creative, colourful, and diverse Learning Environment. We are a Lead School for the Curiosity Approach, which surrounds children with natural materials that promote creative and open-ended play. Children will also engage with phonics and early number sessions on a daily basis. Happiness, joy, and wonder are at the heart of everything we do. Our amazing children achieve excellent standards, and are very well-prepared for the next stage of their education.

Mrs Alarakhia Hello! I am Mrs Alarakhia, I am the class teacher and will see you everyday from Monday to Friday. My favourite thing to is to travel in my motorhome and discover new places. I love spending time with my family and my pet cat called Feefee.
